Why I Don’t Believe in Diets, and Why Prevention Changed My Life

Why I Don’t Believe in Diets, and Why Prevention Changed My Life

“How do you stay healthy?”

“Do you eat vegetables all day?”

“How can you avoid fast food?”

These are questions I hear almost every day.

And they all come from the same belief:

that being healthy means following a strict diet.

I don’t believe that.

And I never have.

Health Is Not a Diet

One of the biggest myths around health is that a healthy lifestyle is only about losing weight.

It’s not.

A healthy lifestyle is about preventing disease, protecting your energy, supporting your mental health, and living a long, fulfilling life.

Weight loss may happen: or it may not (yet it is one the tools to prevent a lot of diseases like cardiovascular diseases and diabetes)

But it is never the goal.

Longevity and high-quality life is.

How My Journey Started

I spent my teenage years learning new things more than studying for exams.

I was deeply curious about everything: especially my body.

In addition, something happened with me -personal situation- that made me feel weak (maybe I will have the courage to say it on this blog one day).

I started reading health articles online, following health and medical professionals, and watching documentaries about the human body.

After spending so much time learning and exploring, I discovered something powerful:

“A healthy lifestyle is your path to a healthy body.”

Yes: It’s your only way to prevent disease, live longer, and enjoy a healthier, happier life.

That’s when I truly understood the value of health and how much we can achieve simply by caring for our mental and physical well-being.

Hello, I’m Zahraa

I’m a Public Health Professional and Health Behavior Expert, the first Arabic content creator in public health on social media, and the founder of the first health promotion services company in the Arab world “ThePublicHealthPro”- on a mission to make prevention a lifestyle.

I help individuals and organizations build science-based healthy habits and work environments that boost energy, prevent disease, and create sustainable health: without complexity.

What I Believe In

I don’t believe in extremes.

I don’t believe in restriction.

And I don’t believe in quick fixes.

I believe in:

  • Small habits done consistently
  • Science over trends
  • Mental health as part of physical health
  • Sustainability over perfection

Because health should support your life: not control it.

What a Healthy Lifestyle Really Looks Like

A healthy lifestyle isn’t complicated.

It’s built through simple daily choices, such as:

  • Drinking enough water
  • Moving your body regularly
  • Eating foods that nourish you
  • Sleeping well
  • Taking care of your mental health

Not perfectly.

Just consistently.

Why I Started This Blog

I created this blog to share a different perspective on health.

One that focuses on:

  • Prevention instead of treatment
  • Habits instead of rules
  • Education instead of pressure

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by health advice all over social media or trapped in diet culture or even you wanna a credible source to rely on when it comes to knowing what is the healthy and what is not, this space is for you.

If you’re ready to build a healthier life without guilt, extremes, or confusion: you’re in the right place.

This blog will guide you step by step, using science, behavior change, and real-life strategies you can actually maintain.

Your health is not a trend.

It’s a priority.

All the love
